here's my update for the last day of this fun little reading-at-home-challenge.

Day 4 was wonderful, but very stressing. I had to finish one book and read other two to complete my goal of reading four books and also to complete the prompts.

eccomi qui con il mio aggiornamento per questa sfida di lettura a casa.

Il 4° Giorno è stato fantastico, ma molto stressante. Dovevo finire un libro e leggerne altri due per arrivare ai quattro libri che mi ero prefissata e per concludere tutte le sfide.

I had my usual hour of reading during breakfast, starting at 8am and finally finishing "Diary of a Bookseller" by Shaun Bythell. I was so happy and I felt lighter, I had one book less to read. This completed the challnge of "reading a book that makes you smile". It did make me chuckle a few times, but it wasn't a very happy book, mostly because the protagonist isn't a very joyful person. He perfectly embodies "the stereotype of the impatient, intollerant and unsociable bookseller", as he says.

Come al solito ho passato un'ora a leggere mentre facevo colazione a partire dalle 8:00, durante la quale ho finalmente portato a termine la lettura di "Una Vita da Libraio" di Shaun Bythell. Ero così felice mi sentivo così leggera per il fatto di avere un libro in meno da leggere. Con questo completato la sfida di "leggere un libro che ti faccia sorridere". Mi ha fatta ridacchiare un paio di volte, ma non p un libro molo felice, principalmente perché il protagonista non è una persona gioiosa. Rappresenta perfettamente "lo stereotipo del libraio insofferente, intollerante e misantropo", come dice lui.

It was Sunday, so no online lessons. That means that I could spend the whole morning reading, as I did. I went in the garden, sat in the sun and read from 10:30am to 1:00pm.

It was a wonderful sunny day and I enjoyed my reading experience very much. I started "In the Mountains" by Elizabeth von Arnim, the perfect book to read outside, with its  long descriptions of the landscape and of the vegetation of the mountains. I wanted to go to the mountains really badly during the reading. The writing style is also so wonderful, very descriptive, but not with a slow rythm and it focuses on the emotions, sensations and thoughts of the main character. Descriptions of the nature in which the characters reflect  their own emotions and a deep psychological analysis are two elements that I love in books. They are also romantic elements and seen that my favourite cultural movement, in which I see myself more, is Romanticism it all makes sense.

I spent the whole day reading it, with two pauses, one from 2pm to 3:30pm that I spent trying to relax by watching BookTube an then a second one from 3:30pm to 5pm, for doing my homework. I finished the book at 8:57pm and completed the challenge of "reading a book with a house on the cover". It was so beautiful that I feel the need to do a review for it.

Era domenica, quindi non avevo videolezioni. Questo significava che avrei potuto leggere per tutta la mattina, come ho fatto. Sono andata in giardino, mi sono seduta al sole e ho letto dalle 10:30 alle 13:00. Era una favolosa giornata di sole ed ho apprezzato moltissimo la mia esperienza di lettura. Ho iniziato "Un'Estate in Montagna" di Elizabeth von Arnim, il libro perfetto da leggere all'aperto, con le sue lunghe descrizioni del paesaggio e della vegetazione di montagna. Mi è davvero venuto il desiderio di andare in montagna durante la lettura. Lo stile di scrittura è meraviglioso, è molto descrittivo, ma non per quest il ritmo diventa lento e vi è una grande attenzione per le emozione, sensazioni e per i pensieri della protagonista. Descrizioni della natura che riflettono lo stato d'animo dei personaggi riflettono le loro emozioni e una profonda analisi psicologica sono i due elementi che che apprezzo di più nei libri. Sono anche caratteristici del Romanticismo, il mio movimento culturale preferito, nel quale mi rivedo di più, quindi tutto torna.
Ho passato l'intera giornata a leggere questo libro, con due pause, una dalle 14:00 alle 5:30, trascorsa in un tentativo di relax basato sulla visione di BookTube e poi un'altra dalle 15:30 alle 17:00 per fare i compiti. Ho terminato il libro alle 20:57, completando la sfida di "leggere un libro con una casa in copertina". Mi è piaciuto così tanto da sentire il bisogno di parlarne ancora, tanto da voler scrivere una recensione.

At 9:01pm I started a new book, not one of my original Tbr, but at that point it didn't matter to me, so I started reading "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare. I have studied Shakespeare in English Literature, in particular we have done "Romeo and Juliet", "The Merchant of Venice" and "Hamlet", but we only read them in a semplified, summarized version. So, I have already studied it and know something about it, but I wanted to read the complete edition, which I liked. In particular I liked the monologues that make the characters shine, they were a bit annoying for my really speed reading, but I'm sure that if I had had more time, I would have liked them even more. I don't know if it is because there have been so many adapatations, theater plays and films, but the story has lost his fascination. I enjoyed it, but I think there are other plays by him that are better and more profound. Anyhow, I finished it at 10:53pm, flying thorugh it and feeling the pressure. By doing that I completed my last challenge of "reading a book in the same room for the whole time", I read it entirely in my bedroom, noot a hard challenge at all.

Alle 9:01 ho intrapreso una nuova lettura, "Romeo e Giulietta" di William Shakespeare, non un libro della mia Tbr originaria, ma ormai non ci facevo più caso. Ho studiato Shakespeare da Letteratura Inglese, in particolare abbiamo affrontato "Romeo e Giulietta", "Il Mercante di Venezia" e "Amleto", ma ne abbiamo letto soltanto delle versioni semplificate e riassunte. Conoscevo quindi già la storia e l'avevo già studiata, ma volevo leggere l'opera integrale, che mi è piaciuta. Ho apprezzato soprattutto i monologhi, che fanno brillare i personaggi di luce propria, anche se per una lettura veloce possono risultare snervanti, ma sono sicura che se avessi avuto più tempo li avrei trovati ancora più piacevoli. Non so se sia perché ci sono state talmente tanti adattamenti, spettacoli e film su quest'opera, ma la storia ha un po' perso il suo fascino. M è piaciuta, ma ritengo che ci siano altre opere dell'autore che analizzano temi più profondi e che sono migliori, ad un livello più alto. Ad ogni modo l'ho concluso alle 22:53, l'ho letto tutto d'un fiato, sentendo la pressione. Con questo ho portato a termine la sfida di "leggere un libro nella stessa stanza per tutta la durata della lettura", l'ho letto interamente in camera, una sfida per niente difficile.
