Ciao a tutti lettori,

era da tantissimo che non facevo un Book Tag, tanto che pensavo di eliminare proprio questo genere di post dal blog. Poi però ho trovato questo e non ho potuto resistere.

Sono in ritardassimo rispetto a quando è stato creato, ma solo ora mi è venuta l'ispirazione.

Si tratta di un Tag creato dalla fantastica Sofi di A Book. A Thought. la quale ci propone di andare a costruire il nostro libro perfetto nei minimi dettagli.

Poiché la creatrice del Tag è argentina, ma tiene un blog in inglese, questo post sarà in due lingue, di modo che possa leggerlo anche lei.

E prima di iniziare ecco qui le regole:

it has been a very long time since I last posted a Book Tag. I was thinking about deleting all the posts of this genre from my blog. But then I found this one and I couldn't resist.

I'm really late in doing this Tag, but I recently got the inspiration.

It's a Tag created by the wonderful Sofi from A Book. A Thought. who encourages everyone to create their perfect book in every little aspect of it.

As the creator of  this Tag comes from Argentina, but has a blog in English, this post will be written in two languages, so that she'll be able to read it.

Before we start, here are the rules:

Ovviamente non poteva che essere un Fantasy. In questo caso nello specifico un High Fantasy, rappresentato in modo magistrale dalla Troisi. C'è tutto, la predestinata, un viaggio pieno di pericoli, una storia d'amore che non ha un ruolo centrale, i draghi, la magia, ha tutti gli elementi essenziali ed è scritto benissimo. Vi ho messo la foto dell'intera trilogia semplicemente perché odio la copertina del primo volume e in ogni caso ho adorato la serie.

Obviously it could only be a Fantasy. In this case a High Fantasy, perfectly represented by Licia Troisi. In this story there is everything to make it a good example of its genre, it has the chosen one, a journey filled with dangers, a love story which isn't so important for the plot, dragons, magic, it has all the essential elements and is beautifully written. I've chosen the cover from the Trilogy simply because I hate the cover of the first volume and in either way I love the entire series.

Deve per forza essere ambientato in un castello, una reggia, qualcosa di simile. Le descrizioni di questi luoghi mi fanno sognare, mi basterebbe passarci anche soltanto una giornata per sentirmi avvolta dalla magia. I corridoi labirintici, le migliaia di stanze immense, la biblioteca (qui mi ci fermerei anche più di un giorno), le torri... Sarebbe fantastico. Leggere di questi posti mi porta a sognare di viverci, ecco gli effetti del Fantasy.

It has to be set in a castle, a palace or something similar. The descriptions of these places make me dream, I'd love to spend there at least one day to feel surrounded by magic. The labyrinthine corridors, hundreds of rooms, the library (I would spend more than a day there), the towers... It would be fantastical. Reading about those places makes me want to live there, these are the effects of reading Fantasy Books.

Non potevo non scegliere August Flynn, il protagonista della duologia Monsters of Verity (di cui sto ancora aspettando la pubblicazione del secondo volume in Italia).

August è un personaggio estremamente fragile, pieno di dubbi su se stesso, sulla propria natura e su cosa significhi essere buoni. 
È un mostro, ma farebbe di tutto per essere un ragazzo normale e poter suonare il suo violino quando gli pare e piace. Custodisce in sé una grandissima forza, che ha paura di esternare, infatti tanta di sopprimerla facendo del male a se stesso in questo modo. È facile entrarvi in sintonia e dargli ragione, rappresenta qualsiasi adolescente, seppur, ovviamente, estremizzato.

Ho bisogno di più protagonisti così nei Fantasy YA perché ne ho abbastanza delle protagonista intrepide, con una grande forza fisica, trasformate in assassine. Non è questo il modello che cerco.

I could only choose August Flynn, the Main Character of the Monsters of Verity Duology (from which I am still waiting for the second volume to be released in Italy).
August is an extremely fragile character, he is full of doubts about himself, his nature and about what it means to be good.
He is a monster, but he would do anything to be a normal boy and to play his violin whenever he wants to. He holds a great strength inside of him , which he is afraid to use. In fact he tries to suppress it and hurts himself doing this.
It's easy to connect and agree with him, because he represents every teenager, although taken to extremes.
I need more Main Characters like him in Fantasy Ya books, because I'm done with all the fearless girls, who have a great physical strenght and are transformed into assassins. That's not the model I'm looking for.

Mettiamo in chiaro una cosa, io non sopporto i migliori amici nei libri. Mi danno estremamente fastidio, perché se si tratta di un amico viene a creare il Triangolo Amoroso e se invece è un'amica è assolutamente inutile. Non mi vengono in mente migliori amici decenti o che io non abbia odiato. Vi faccio alcuni esempi per provare la mia teoria, però attenzione, ci sono SPOILERS per Shadowhunters TMI, The Diabolic, Twilight e The Winner's Curse - La Maledizione.

• Simon di Shadowhunters. L'ho odiato come pochi, è impacciato, fa un sacco di scelte sbagliate, si immischia in cosa di cui non sa nulla, è assolutamente inutile. Ovviamente è innamorato della protagonista e viene a formarsi un Triangolo;
• Donia di The Diabolic, è innamorata della protagonista in un modo morboso e possessivo, per fortuna la relazione non va in porto;
• Jacob di Twilight, dobbiamo proprio parlarne? Innamorato di Bella fin dal primo incontro, terzo vertice del Triangolo, non lo sopporto;
• Jess di The Winner's Curse. La Maledizione, amica della protagonista molto superficiale, pensa solo ai vestiti e a far sposare il proprio fratello. Assolutamente inutile.

Niente da fare, per questa domanda non ne scelgo nessuno.

I would like to make something clear, I can't stand best friends in books. They are so annoying, because if he is a boy, he is going to be part of a Love Triangle and if she is a girl she's absolutely unnecessary. I can't rememeber any decent best friend or one that I didn't hate.
I will give some examples to support my theory, but be aware that there are SPOILERS for Shadowhunters TMI, The Diabolic, Twilight and The Winner's Curse.

• Simon from Shadowhunters. I strongly despised him, he is clumsy, makes a lot of bad choices, interfers with things that he doesn't understand, he is absolutely useless. And obviously he is in love with the Main Character, so he creates a Love Triangle;
• Donia from The Diabolic. She's in love with the Main Character in a possessive and morbid way, fortunately their relationship never gets real;
• Jacob from Twilight. Do we really need to talk about him? He's in love with Bella from the first second he sees her, he's the third vertex of the Love Triangle and I hate him;
• Jess from The Winner's Curse. She's the Main Character's best friend, she's superficial, she only thinks about clothes and about how to get her brother married. Absolutely needless.

For this question I can't choose anyone.

Scusate, ma non riesco a immaginare Jace di Shadowhunters TMI diverso da Jamie Campbell Bower, dopo che l'ha interpretato nel film. 

Ad ogni modo adoro Jace, è divertente, sagace, ha sempre la battuta pronta e al contempo è dolce e nasconde delle fragilità. Non sempre sa reagire nel modo migliore alle situazioni che lo feriscono, si nasconde dietro l'ironia o le battute volte a far male all'altra persona. Seppur con i suoi difetti adoro questo personaggio.

Sorry, but I can't imagine Jace from Shadowhunters TMI as someone different from Jamie Campbell Bower, after his performance as Jace in the film.
Anyway, I love Jace, he's funny, argute, he always has a wisecrack in mind and at the same time he's sweet and hides his fragilities. He often reacts in a bad way to the situations that hurt him, he hides behind his irony or jokes that hurt other people. I love this character with all his flaws.

E anche qui devo fare una precisazione: disprezzo gli antagonisti. Sono creati con tutti i difetti possibili ed immaginabili, sono malvagi, crudeli, fatti per essere odiati, è questo il loro scopo e lo assolvono al meglio. Li odio. Non riesco a comprendere come si possa provare una certa fascinazione per loro, per quale malsano fascino del tenebroso malvagio si arrivi ad adorarli al di sopra dei buoni. Per questo non risponderò nemmeno a questa domanda, perché io detesto sempre gli antagonisti, non solo qualche volta e nessuno di questi mi ha lasciato altro che il rancore che provavo nei loro confronti.

And here I have to make a clarification: I despise villains. They are created with lots of flaws, they are evil, cruel, born to be hated, this is their purpose and they fulfil it perfectly. I hate them. I can't understand how some people can be fascinated by them, how they prefer the evils over the good ones. For this reason I'm not going to answer this question either, because I always hate villains, not just sometimes and no one of them has ever left me with other feelings than rancor.

Mi risulta difficilissimo trovare la risposta a questa domanda. Leggendo molti Fantasy ci si rende conto di come le famiglie siano assenti nella maggior parte dei casi, oppure disastrate. Certo, le cose si fanno difficili quando uno o entrambi i genitori sono un a qualche creatura fantastica o appartengono ad organizzazioni segrete, me ne rendo conto.

Potrei essere banale e rispondere i Weasley, ma non hanno avuto questo grande impatto su di me. Adoro Fred e George, non sopporto Ginny, Charlie mi è indifferente, Ron mi dà un po' fastidio, Bill è praticamente inesistente e i genitori sono molto simpatici.

Un'altra risposta potrebbero essere i Blackthorn, ma direi proprio di no. Drusilla mi fa saltare i nervi, Livvy e Ty mi sono incomprensibili, Helen e Mark lasciamo perdere, Tavvy è molto dolce e Julian lo apprezzo. 

Penso di non sapere... no, invece no. Ho avuto l'illuminazione. Pensavo solo ai Fantasy, sbagliando, ampliando il raggio d'azione ai contemporary ho trovato la risposta.

La famiglia di Starr in The Hate U Give Il Coraggio della Verità. Quanto li adoro, si supportano l'un l'altro, sono divertenti, risolvono molto bene i loro contrasti e assolutamente essenziali nella storia.

It's really difficult for me to find an answer to this question. By reading a lot of Fantasy you realise that families are mostly absent or damaged.
Of course, things start to get difficult when one or even both parents are fantastical creatures or members of a secret society.
I could be predictable and answer the Weasleys, but they didn't have a lasting impact on me. I really like Fred and George, I hate Ginny, Charlie means nothing to me, Ron is a little bit annoying, Bill is nearly inexistent and the parents are really nice.
Another answer could be the Blackthorns, but i really wouldn't choose them. Drusilla in maddening, Livvy and Ty are incomprehensible to me, Helen and Mark.... neeeext, Tavvy is really sweet and I appreciate Julian.
I think I don't know... No, wait. I had a flash of inspiration. I was only thinking about Fantasy books, which is totally wrong. So I thought about contemporary and found my answer.
Starr's family from THUG. I like them a lot, thy are very supportive and funny, they solve their conflicts really well and are essential for the story.

Gli animali non mi fanno impazzire, ma se devo proprio scegliere direi un capall uisce. Si tratta di cavalli acquatici che emergono dalle onde del mare una volta l'anno. A metà tra cavalli di cui hanno a prima vista l'aspetto, e mostri per la ferocia, il fatto che si nutrano carne umana e i denti acuminati.

Li ho conosciuti nel libro La Corsa delle Onde di Maggie Stiefvater e per quanto mi mettano estremamente paura, hanno il loro incanto.

Animals aren't my cup of tee, but if I have to choose one I will say a capall uisce. These are water horses that emerge from the sea waves once a year. They are a mix between a horse, to who they seem to be similar at first sight, and monsters for their ferocity, the fact that they eat human flesh and for their pointed teeth.
I discovered them in The Scorpio Races and even though I'm terribly afraid of them, I noticed that they have their charm.

Il Colpo di Scena presente in questo libro mi ha distrutta. Non lo ritengo il migliore, assolutamente, ma mi ha fatta impazzire. credevo non fosse vero, ho dovuto rileggere la stessa pagina più volte per convincermi del contrario e riuscire a realizzare con crescente sgomento che era davvero accaduto. Mi sono disperata, arrabbiata e infine rassegnata. E a distanza di anni ne sento ancora gli effetti ripensando a questo libro.

Vi spiego qui di cosa si tratta *Spoiler* la morte di Finnick. Come si può essere così crudeli? Finnick! Aveva appena ritrovato la sua amata! Si erano appena sposati! Erano felici! Questa è crudeltà. Vi è poi un'altra morte nel libro, che però non è riuscita a sconvolgermi allo stesso modo, non datemi dell'insensibile, ma Prim non mi ha mai entusiasmata. *Spoiler*

The Plot Twist in this book destroyed me. I don't think it's the best one, but it made me go insane, I couldn't believe it, I had to re-read the same page over and over again to convince myself that it was real. I went mad, then I was really angry and in the end I had to deal with it. And now, after many years have gone by, I still feel the effects of this Plot Twist.
Let me explain you what I'm talking about *Spoiler* Finnick's death. How can someone be so cruel? Finnick! He had just met his beloved girlfriend! They had just got married! They were happy! This is cruelty. There is also another death in this book that wasn't particulary upsetting to me, I'm not an insensitive person, but I've never liked Prim. *Spoiler*

Non so mai come tradurre questo termine in italiano. Si tratta di una scena ricorrente in molti libri, una dinamica standard che viene ripresa tale e quale, ad esempio il Triangolo Amoroso o il Predestinato o ancora le Relazioni Odio-Amore. Spero che si sia capito.

In genere mi danno fastidio, non tutte, ma alcune mi hanno proprio stufata (vedi Triangolo).
Forse sceglierei quella del Predestinato, perché non mi ha mai dato fastidio, anzi è emozionante venire a scoprire qual è il destino del protagonista e quindi capire come lui non sia una persona come tutte le altre.

I never know how to translate this word in italian. It's a scene that is repeted in the same way in every book, for example the Love Triangle or the Chosen One or Hate-To-Love Relationships. 
Generally I find them annoying, not all of them, but some of them have cheesed me off (like the Love Triangle).
Maybe I'll choose The Chosen One, because I've never found it irritating, on the contrary, it's exciting to discover the destiny of the protaginist and to understand how he isn't like the others.

Io adoro lo cover bianche. È un'ossessione. Ho un intero scaffale composto interamente di copertine bianche, lo so che potrebbe sembrare poco, ma ho intenzione di espanderlo al più presto. Quindi se un libro ha una trama accattivante e la copertina bianca farò di tutto per averlo. Questi due sono dei perfetti esempi di quanto vi dicevo. Non li possiedo ancora, ma sono bellissimi.

I love white covers. It's an obsession. I have an entire shelf only of  books with white covers, I know that it may not seem much, but I intend to expand it very soon. So, if a book has a captivating plot and a white cover I'll do everything to own it. These are two perfect examples of what I was saying. I don't have them yet, but they are beautiful.

Ultimamente mi sono accorta di quanto io sia difficile sui finali. Trovo sempre qualcosa da ridire, non sono mai come me l aspettavo e rimango insoddisfatta. Mi piacciono gli Happy End o al massimo quelli che sembrano felici, ma lasciano aperto uno spiraglio per un nuovo ribaltamento della situazione, un piccolo dettaglio che faccia capire che la pace ritrovata sarà facilmente sconvolta.

I finali aperti mi portano all'esasperazione, non mi interessa formulare un sacco di teorie su quello che potrebbe succedere, vorrei una fine adeguata a quella storia.

Possiamo dire che quello di "Diabolic" rientra nei miei canoni, sebbene sia il primo volume, quindi il finale lasci per forza molti dubbi irrisolti in vista del seguito.

Lately I noticed that I'm really picky in reviewing endings. I always find sometihng that I don't like, they are never as I expected them to be and I am dissatisfied. I like Happy Ends or at least those that seem happy, but that have something that lets you understand that the situation may be easily distorted, a little detail that destoys the picture of peace.

I hate open endings, they make me lose my mind. I have no interest in supposing how it could continue, I'd like an adequate ending for that story.

"The Diabolic" could be said to stick to my rules, event though it's the first volume, so the ending leaves us with a lot of unsolved doubts, which will be explained in the following book.

È stata un'impresa assurda. Non so se si noti però la redazione di questo post è durata tantissimo e ci saranno un sacco di errori di battitura che non ho notato. Mi scuso per questi ultimi.
