🅔🅝🅖 Hello readers,

2nd Day of The Reading Rush going.... not so strong.

🅘🅣 Ciao a tutti lettori,

Secondo Giorno del The Reading Rush e sto andando... non troppo bene.

🅔🅝🅖 I woke up at 6 a.m. again, but this time only to have more time for reading.

And having breakfast I started reading "The Anchoress", after a few pages i anderstood that it wasn't for me. I slowed down and continued trying, getting up to page 10. Not much, but enough to convince me that it was really broing, I wasn't interested in the story and I didn't like the writing style.

🅘🅣 Mi sono svegliata alle 6:00, di nuovo, ma questa volta solo per avere più tempo per leggere.

E facendo colazione ho iniziato a leggere "The Anchoress", dopo poche pagine però ho capito che non faceva al caso mio. Ho iniziato a leggere più lentamente e continuato a provare, arrivando fino a pagina 10. Non molto, ma abbastanza per convincermi che fosse molto noioso, che io non fossi interessata nella storia e che lo stile di scrittura non mi piacesse.

🅔🅝🅖 So I put it down and picked up "The Picture of Dorian Gray", for the challenge read a book and then watch the movie adaptation.

I had already read this book four years ago in Italian, the first time because I was curious, because one of my friends told me that it was fascinating during a conversation with another classmate, in which she also spoiled me the ending, but it's okay, she couldn't know that after what she had said about it, I was going to read it (thank you Anita). So i picked it up and loved it, then, a few months later, it was assigned to as as a required reading for Italian.

Having said that, I rembered the story pretty well.

🅘🅣 Quindi, l'ho messo giù e ho iniziato a leggere "Il Ritratto di Dorian Gray", per la challenge di leggere un libro e poi guardare il suo adattamento cinematografico.

Avevo già letto questo libro quattro anni fa in Italiano, la prima volta perché mi ero incuriosita, dato che una mia amica me lo aveva descritto come una lettura affascinante durante una conversazione con un altro nostro compagno di classe, durante la quale mi  aveva anche spoilerato la fine, ma è okay, non poteva sapere che dopo quello che aveva detto in proposito, io avrei letto il libro (grazie Anita). L'avevo dunque preso in mano e lo avevo amato, dopo, qualche mese più tardi ci fu assegnato come Lettura Obbligatoria per Italiano.

Avendovi detto questo, potete immaginare come io mi ricordi molto bene la storia.

🅔🅝🅖 I started it and got cought into it, being completely absorbed in this enchanting story.

I started to underline my favourite quotes, which I remembered from my Italian edition, and adding more of them.

I enjoyed it so much, but I have discovered that I am so slow in reading in English, that I obviously didn't finish it.

I continued reading it until 10:30 p.m., but I couldn't finish it, I got 93 pages in.

Then i was so tired that i couldn't keep my eyes open, I updated my page count on TRR websie and fell asleep

🅘🅣  Ho iniziato a leggerlo e mi sono ritrovata completamente coinvolta, assorta in questa storia incantevole.

Ho iniziato a sottolineare le mie frasi preferite, che mi ricordavo dalla mia edizione in Italiano, e ad aggiungerne di nuove.

Mi piaceva così tanto, ma ho scoperto di essere molto lenta a leggere in inglese, quindi, ovviamente, non sono riuscita a finirlo.

Ho continuato a leggere fino alle 22:30, ma non ce l'ho proprio fatta, ne ho letto 93 pagine.

Dopo ero talmente stanca da non riuscire a tenere gli occhi aperti, quindi ho aggiornato il numero di pagine lette sul sito del TRR e mi sono addormentata.
