🅔🅝🅖 Hello readers,

Day 7 was a win.

🅘🅣 Ciao a tutti lettori,

il Settimo Giorno è stato una giornata vincente.

🅔🅝🅖 I woke up at 8:30 a.m. and wanted to go to church, as it was Sunday. But then there was a problem with the hot water, which didn't function until 10:30, so my plans were ruined.

I spent all morning reading "Animal Farm" for the challenge of "reading a book with a non-human Main Charcater".

Then my family and I took our bicycles and rode through some small roads in the countryside.

Going back from that I finished the book.

🅘🅣 Mi sono svegliata alle 8:30 e volevo andare in chieda, dato che era domenica. Ma poi c'è stato un problema con l'acqua calda, che non ha funzionato fino alle 10:30, quindi i miei piani sono andati in frantumi.

Ho passato tutta la mattina a leggere "La Fattoria degli Animali" per la sfida di "leggere un libro in cui uno dei protagonisti non sia umano".

Dopo io e la mia famiglia siamo andati in bici per delle stradine di campagna.

Tornando ho terminato il libro.

🅔🅝🅖 It was really interesting. I didn't have a strong desire to read it in the beginning, because I didn't really knew what it was about, other than mostly of the charcters were animals and that there will be some criticism of some governements.

But I enjoyed it a lot, maybe I didn't get all the symobolism or the allusions, but I liked the portait of a corrupted governement, which lied to the citizens, changing the laws in front of them and then arguing that it was their memory to be wrong.

I also liked Clover, I found her to be more intelligent than the others and I liked her attachement to Boxer. When at a certain point of the story something bad happens to him, Clover's reaction had nearly made me cry.

🅘🅣 L'ho trovato molto interessante. Non ero molto interessata a leggerlo all'inizio, perché non sapevo bene di cosa trattasse, sapevo che i personaggi erano principalmente degli animali e che ci sarebbero state delle critiche ad alcune forme di governo.

Ma mi è piaciuto molto, forse non sono riuscita a cogliere tutti i simbolismi o le allusioni, ma mi è piaciuto il ritratto di un governo corrotto, il quale mente ai propri cittadini, cambiando le leggi davanti ai loro occhi e poi asserendo che siano i loro ricordi ad essere sbagliati.

Ho anche apprezzato Clover, l'ho trovata più intelligente degli altri e mi è piaciuto il suo attaccamento a Boxer. Quando ad un certo punto nella storia, gli accade qualcosa di brutto, la reazione di Clover mi ha quasi fatta piangere.

🅔🅝🅖 After that I read "The Old Man and the Sea" for the challenge of "reading a book in the same spot the entire time".

I didn't know anything about this book, I only picked it up because it was short and there was nothing interesting in the English section in the library.

For the spot I choose something obvious, even though I wanted to read outside in the garden, but it was too late, so I went for my bed.

🅘🅣 Dopo di che ho letto "Il Vecchio e il Mare" per la sfida di "leggere un libro nello stesso posto per tutto il tempo della lettura".

Non sapevo niente di questo libro, l'ho preso soltanto perché era breve e non c'era nient'altro di interessante nella sezione in Inglese della biblioteca.

Come posto sono stata molto ovvia, perché anche se volevo andare in giardino, ormai era troppo tardi, quindi ho scelto il mio letto.

🅔🅝🅖 I continued reading it until very late in the night and caught myself nearly falling asleep a couple of times. But I finished it.

I didn't like it, not at all. There were surely metaphors and symbolism that I dindn't get again, but the whole story was so boring. Only some phrase here and there caught my attention, beacuse they were beautifully written.

I also liked the writing style, all the book is written in first person frome the perspectivo of the Old Man and his thoughts are presented to us continuously, I woukd say as a conscience flow. Sometimes it was difficult to understand who he was referring to, but this was the point of this style, thoughts don't always follow a scheme.

🅘🅣 Ho continuato a leggerlo fino a tarda notte e mi sono ritrovata a rischiare di addormentarmi più volte. Ma l'ho terminato.

Non mi è piaciuto, per nulla. C'erano sicuramente delle metafore e dei simbolismi che non ho capito, di nuovo, ma ho trovato la storia così noiosa. Alcune frasi soltanto mi hanno colpita perché scritte magnificamente.

Lo stile di scrittura mi è piaciuto, l'intero libro è scritto in prima persona dal punto di vista del Vecchio e i suoi pensieri ci sono presentati continuamente, direi quasi come in un flusso di coscienza. A volte risultava difficile capire a chi si stesse riferendo, ma è proprio questo il punto, i pensieri non seguono sempre uno schema ben preciso.
